Artist's Comments

My hand, drawn holding a video game controller while sitting in front of a mirror. Drawn in my sketchbook using a Black Uniball Vision Elite (basically a kind of smooth liquid gel-type pen w/o the random globs most gel pens get) over the course of about an hour of trying not to twitch/drop the controller. Hands are something that I find really characterize a person and have a lot of difficulty drawing so I tend to try to do a lot of studies on them. This was drawn in September of 2006.

Actual size: 6" w x 8 1/2" h

I love the Vision pens, forget those fancy Micron pens everyone uses. And this looks great, nice foreshortening and I like the tendon that you defined that runs right down the middle.
